I've been waiting for this day since election day 2004 (remember how horrible that felt?)
VOTE!
Why? Well, one place to start would be this Frontline account of the missteps in the first year of our occupation of Iraq Lost Year in Iraq.
I have a Ph.D in cultural anthropology and teach courses on global issues, Middle Eastern societies, and Islam. Yes, I speak Arabic. I lived and worked in the Middle East part of each year from 1988-1997.
