Ph.D. and mother of three; a citizen of the world whose politics, practices and parenting in America were shaped by years living in the Muslim Middle East.
I have a Ph.D in cultural anthropology and teach courses on global issues, Middle Eastern societies, and Islam. Yes, I speak Arabic. I lived and worked in the Middle East part of each year from 1988-1997.
